Joe ProiettaAttorney Joseph M. Proietta is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island.  Joe is a graduate of the Roger Williams University School of Law where he finished ninth in his class and was a member of the Law Review.  In addition, Joe has an M.F.A. from Brown University and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Oneonta.  Joe is a past Director of the Elder Law Project at Rhode Island Legal Services where he traveled the state working to enhance the delivery of legal services to seniors in Rhode Island, and he worked in-house at the Rhode Island Department of Elderly Affairs where he served as a resource to staff and seniors around Rhode Island.  Joe is a member of the  Rhode Island Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association.  He serves on the Rhode Island Bar Association Probate & Trust Committee and the Massachusetts Bar Association Probate Law Section.

Gwendolyn M. Hancock is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Gwen is a 2009 graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law, where she finished sixth in her class and was a member of the Law Review. Gwen earned her B.A. from Hamilton College in 2001 with a Major in Government and a Minor in Environmental Studies. Before attending law school, Gwen worked as a professional mariner in the sail training industry, where she held a United States Coast Guard 500 Ton Ocean Master license with a sail endorsement and a Merchant Mariner Able Bodied Seaman document. Gwen still loves to sail, and enjoys spending time on the water with her husband, son, and daughter on their Marshall Sanderling Catboat.
